Data Collection

The developer of Scriptura does not collect, store, sell, rent, or otherwise process personal data, usage data, analytics data, diagnostics data, location data, contact information, identifiers, or device information.

iCloud Sync

The verse albums you create are stored on your device and, if you are signed in to iCloud, are synced across your devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) under your own Apple Account. This content stays in your private iCloud database; the developer cannot access it, and it is handled in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. You can stop syncing at any time by disabling iCloud for Scriptura in your device settings.

Bible Translations

To add Bible translations beyond the one included with the app, Scriptura downloads translation files from the developer's content server, delivered through Cloudflare. These requests do not include any account or personal information. As with any internet request, the hosting and content-delivery provider may automatically record standard technical information such as your IP address in order to deliver the files; this is not used to identify you and is not combined with any other data by the developer.

Data Sharing

The developer does not share user data with third parties. The only data that leaves your device is the album content you sync to your own iCloud account and the routine requests needed to download translations you select, as described above.

Analytics and Tracking

Scriptura does not use analytics services, advertising SDKs, tracking technologies, or third-party data processors.

Children's Privacy

Scriptura does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
